Unusual horn and silver plated (or chrome) Bone Holder. France circa 1900s . This is an ingenious tool known in France as a “manche-a-gigot” (handle for lamb). The chrome holder is fitted with a screw to tighten and secure it over the bone, allowing the server to grip the bone for carving while still keeping his hand clean. In very good condition apart from some slight tarnishing to the chrome plating L:19.5cm
