This book could not am to provide a comprehensive and complete pictorial record of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It offers only a brief survey of past and present achievements, in particular during the last fifteen years. The achievements illustrated naturally represent only a small fraction of the actual progress attained during a period when the great desire for national development overcame numerous obstacles among which the vast distances and the many desert regions. These obstacles have been overcome, clearly showing the strength of the nation’s prudent leadership allied to the public’s mature comprehension. May God grant success.
