Late 19th / early 20th century shortbread mould, produced by Brown & Polsons to advertise its flour. Usable items like this were given out to customers to promote the company’s products. Polson’s was based in Scotland and at its height, was the largest producer of starch products in the UK. The mould shows wear for being over one hundred years old (cracking and staining), but remains a charming piece H:3 x D:19.5cm
