Vintage Tall Art Deco Blue Pomegranate Vase

Hand painted and impressive tall blue Art Deco vase in the pomegranate pattern by S Hancock & Sons of the Staffordshire Potteries. From the same era as Moorcroft’s tube lined version, the style of decoration was termed Rubens Ware with a high gloss finish, mottled strong colours and bold patterns. The shape is the classic Meiping taken from the Chinese. Marked on base H:37 x D:7cm (top) + D:13.5cm (base)
