Vintage King Edward VII “The King’s Coronation Dinner” Commemorative Beaker Marked June 1902

Minimum Donation €94.95

King Edward VII commemorative handmade beaker wrongly dated June 1902 and made by Royal Doulton. The King’s coronation was originally scheduled to take plece on 26 June of that year but was postponed because the King had been unwell; the beakers remained dated June 1902 whereas the coronation in fact took place at Westminster Abbey, London on 9 August 1902. Also interesting is the Royal Doulton mark is slightly offset to the left in this example. In very good condition apart from some crazing to the glaze with to chips, cracks or discolourtion H:9 x W:8.7cm
