Vintage Joan Rivers/TOVA Perfume Holder Reversible Pendant – Circa 1980s

Superb reversible Art Deco style perfume pendant with a hidden compartment by TOVA Beverly Hills – an American perfume brand based in Hollywood, Los Angeles. Joan Rivers collaborated on some designs and this was one of them. Originally the pendants held powdered perfume discs, but this one is empty and has no perfume, so the spacious compartment could be used for other keepsakes. The pendant is heavy and well-made in quality materials with gold plating. It has a deep red heart-like design on one side and a black Tova crest with purple frosting on the other. On the edges and bottom are jade green cabochons. There is a large reversible loop and it originally had a black rope cord, but is now offered as a pendant only, providing a perfect opportunity to add a cord or chain of your own choice. The pendant case is held closed with a magnet. To open, hold the pendant with the Tova crest facing upwards, then lift the green-ended stem. In good vintage condition.
