Pre-owned. Front and back boards depict a framed image of a British officer pointing into the distance. Spine in light blue cloth. Front and back hinges of spine cracking from the inside, and corners bumped, light edge wear. Some tanning and foxing. First page bears an inscription in pencil with a signature, and the words ‘Repaired 1910.’ In good condition. Original owner has left a plant cutting within its pages (Sorbaria?). Hardcover, no dust jacket. Published by Richard Bentley, London 1857
