Illustrated advertisements on both endpapers. A full color frontispiece, and numerous black and white and colour illustrations by famous artists of the day, together with some facsimile signatures of prominent people of the day, some facsimile manuscript extracts from authors, poets and musicians of the era. A number of advertisements in the final 36 pages of the book. Gilt edges still in good condition. The spine is lightly worn at the top and bottom and there is some damp staining along the top and bottom edges of the front and back endpapers.
