This large and striking piece was originally purchased in the UK for £750 and has now been valued in Malta for €1000. There is a label on the back of the frame which reads “Watercolours fade, no matter how good quality the paint and the paper. To extend the life of the colours as long as possible, it is imperative that they are kept out of direct sunlight. Even strong daylight and strong artificial light can be detrimental. It is best to hang a wateroclour in a dark part of a room, well away from windows and strong direct artificial light.”
