History for a sailing enthusiast, a black and white photograph of the ‘Lady Pender’, a yacht built in 1923, listing the races won, Ladies Cup, Ocean Race Cup and The White Cup. Signature is difficult to decipher, but looks like, H L L Austin but we’re unable to verify who that might be. The Royal Gibraltar Yacht Club was founded in 1826 by officers from the Royal Navy and was one of the first yacht clubs outside the UK. The photograph is simply framed with a cardboard backing and stand, held together with black tape around the edge. Photo has discoloured a little, but it’s an interesting piece of the sailing world in Mediterranean history H:17 x W:22.5cm
