A rare 19th century, hand blown Scottish ¼ gill spirit measure in bell form, facet cut to the body and neck, indicating the height to which it should be filled. Rare to find these without the VR seal and no etching. In perfect condition. Design registered by James Couper & Sons of Glasgow in 1868 and hand blown around the time that Edinburgh’s Western General Hospital was established H:9.25cm
