Anna Galea is an established, award winning artist based in Malta and Dubai, best known for her exceptionally large and vibrant still-life paintings and abstractions. She has exhibited her art extensively across the main capital cities of Europe, in the UAE, as well as in Washington and New York. Plus several other collective exhibitions in Malta and Gozo. Galea’s favourite medium is watercolour, although she also paints in oils, acrylic, pastels and charcoal. She finds watercolour a challenging medium that can produce exciting, fluid and intense art. Inspired by nature, she delights in zooming in to produce dramatic and sometimes abstracted interpretations of normal mundane subjects which we all tend to take for granted. paintings feature in the highly acclaimed American International Artist publications. Galea’s watercolour work has been honoured as masterful in the United as well as in Europe and the UAE where she was entrusted with conducting Master watercolour demonstrations at the International Watercolour Society Conventions in Fabriano Italy (2016), and in Dubai (2018).
