Fascinating set of three first edition magazines on aviation during the Second World War, with all three volumes illustrated throughout. Air-Sea Rescue was issued for The Air Ministry by The Ministry of Information and was first published in 1942. The Air Battle of Malta is the official account of the R.A.F in Malta from June 1940 until November 1942 and was prepared for The Air Ministry by the Ministry of Information, first published in 1944. R.A.F Middle East is the official story of Air Operations in the Middle East from February 1942 to January 1943 and was first published in 1945. Externally, the wraps are smart with a few marks. The wraps of R.A.F Middle East has come away from the rest of the pages, although these pages are still firmly bound. The other two magazines are firmly wrapped.
