Pre-owned. BAVARIA is one of the most popular holiday areas in Germany, and if one asks where someone intends to spend his vacation, the answer is “in Bavaria”. In most cases this is not quite correct, since allmost everyone means that they are going to Upper Bavaria – the southern part of Bavaria including the whole chain of the Alps from Berchtesgaden to Füssen. Füssen is already in Swabia in the region known as Allgäu which stretches along the Alps to Lindau on Lake Constance.
These vacation areas are however only a small part of Bavaria. Swabia is traversed to a large extent by the “Romantic Route”; Lower Bavaria contains the fertile agricultural land along the Danube and also the Bavarian Forest; the Upper Palatinate with the town of Regensburg is an old civilized country. Franconia is very rich and varied, an independent land within Bavaria with its three regions – Upper, Middle and Lower Franconia – whose individual history is shown through quite different aspects.
