Description
On June 15th 1991, Mount Pinatubo awakened after 4 centries of deep slumber. It was the world’s biggest volcanic explosion in 500 years. The volcano blasted more than 5 billion cubic metres of Jahar, ash, pyroplastic debris. Volcanic materials remained suspended in the atmosphere where the winds dispersed them to envelope the earth, reaching as far as Russia and North America. This Phenomenon caused the earth’s temperature to change by an average of 1 degree Celsius. This product is made from MT Pinatubo stone and ash. It was hand casted and crafted by the people in the nearby towns, who were misplaced and affected by the eruption. Originally purchased in aid of their efforts, the hanging starfish has been carefully stored and now donated in support of the two Maltese charities named on our site
