Description
The compact has a firm hinge and secure catch and opens to reveal a clear and reflective mirror under the lid. The inner powder well hinged door is brushed gold tone and is marked with the Vogue Vanities name. The powder well beneath is empty of powder and shows no traces of ever having been used, retaining the original clean sifter. The compact also has the original unused Vogue Vanities marked swansdown puff. The set comes complete with the Vogue Vanities marked felt slip case for the compact. The lipstick case is also unused with no lipstick ever having been stored in it before and retains the original paper insert. The outer box has slight signs of wear commensurate with age, with some glue marks to the top right hand. The company from which it was purchased is noted as ‘Jewellers since 1900, Wilkins.
