Vintage framed bridal / wedding / evening bag, upcycled and remade by Cathy White, this could make a beautiful alternative bridal purse as it incorporates ‘Something old, Something new, Somehing borrowed’ as the colour is of a pale blue. The frame is fabulous, made in Europe around 1940 of filigree gilt with amethyst coloured stones in the centre and sapphire and ruby coloured jewels on either side. The reverse of the frame also has beautiful filigree detail. The purse itself is in French gold lace, hand beaded with pearls and tiny jewels stretched over pale aqua silk and the sides of the bag are finished in gold vintage braid, with the base of the bag trimmed with gold bullion fringe.The interior of the purse is of aqua silk, decorated with vintage pink flowered ribbon and hand crocheted pale pistachio flowers. Beneath the frame is a vintage Czech amethyst glass and filagree brooch, where it can remain, or be worn seperately L:23 x W:19cm
