Description

Pre-owned. Moyra Charlton began the story just after her eleventh birthday and finished it ten months later. A dictionary was her only helper: that was for spelling. She needed no assistance for facts: out of her own experience her story has come, and she knows as much about horses and hunting as many grown-ups who have followed hounds a score of years. Dust jacket is a little browned and sunned, and has one small 2cm tear at the bottom rear, another 1cm tear at the top rear, and a tiny 3mm tear to the top right corner; not price clipped. Some tanning and foxing to edges and some pages, in particular to the end pages. Binding tight and hinges in good shape. Hardcover. Published by Putnam 1946.
