Sir Douglas – Painter Of Malta By Peter Apap Bologna

Minimum Donation €15.00

Joseph Zammit Tabona commissioned Peter Apap Bologna to produce this book. It is a token of Joseph’s appreciation and affection for “Sir Douglas” and his works. The paintings of Malta represent nearly twenty years work, and are a delightful collection of fine watercolours which truly convey the architecture, topography, character, and colour of Malta. Much information about Douglas’s life and work is to be found in Stage Whispers The Memoirs, published by Porter Press International in March 2009. This deals extensively with his acting career and his relationships with many famous stage and screen personalities, and is a fascinating read. It states among much else that: Douglas Wilmer is one of the finest character actors the British Theatre has ever produced.”
