Pre-owned. The World Book Encyclopedia is a multi-volume American encyclopedia. It is designed to cover most major areas of knowledge, giving emphasis to scientific, technical, and medical subjects. The first World Book was published in 1917, and since 1925 a new edition of the encyclopedia has been published every year. This 1990 edition comprises 22 beautifully bound hardback volumes in faux green and beige leather with gilt titling to the spine and front boards and a gilt top edge. Clearly a high quality publication designed to enhance any library or collection. All volumes are in very good condition with some very slight markings here and there but nothing of consequence. A little foxing particularly to end papers. Volume 15 has a little warping to the top edge. Bookends not included. Hardcover in 22 volumes. Published by World Book USA 1990
