Pre-owned. Tissue protected frontispiece of Mrs Earle aged 72 with facsimile autograph. 388 pages with Introduction and further tissue protected portraits. Book in fair condition. Original blue boards faded to grey with white marks to the front, rubbed through cloth in places on spine and edges, significant sun bleaching to spine and foxing and tanning of edges and pages. Corners bumped. Inscription with previous owner’s name on first page in pencil. Hardcover. Published by Smith Elder 1911
