Antique Torpedo Scent Bottle – Circa 1890s

Delightfully simple antique ruby red torpedo shaped double ended scent bottle circa 1890s. The ruby glass bottle has two separate compartments and is capped with two silver embossed dome lids. One is hinged and would have been used for smelling salts; and the other a screw lid which would originally have had a cork fitted to the underside used to hold perfume. The glass is in excellent condition with no chips and the lids fit perfectly with no dents. The silver screw collar does have some tiny damage, as photographed, but it doesn’t interfere with the fitting of the lid or detract from its overall appearance L:11.5 x D:2cm
