A fine antique solid silver perfume bottle fully hallmarked on the lid collar and the neck for London 1888 with the maker’s mark SM, for the prestigious silversmith Sampson Mordan. A lay down bottle. It has a circular body with raised wrythen decoration and central circular cartouche at the front. The bottle has a matching screw lid which has remnants of the cork liner, which has now mostly perished. This antique Sampson Mordan perfume bottle is in good condition; it has light age and usage marks, but nothing further is found. There are no dents, dings, splits or tears and the lid fits firmly and securely with all screw threads intact L:5.3
