Antique Shepards Lightening One Quart Ice Cream Churn

Wooden Ice cream churn, made in the USA. Wooden bucket and metal container fitted with a ‘dasher’. The bucket was first packed with a combination of ice and salt and the ice cream mixture then poured into the container. The handle would then have been turned to revolve the dasher, not only gradually scraping away the mixture from the side as it freezes, but also churning (beating) at the same time. A great piece to add to a collection of Kitchenalia H:20.5 x D:19cm
