Antique French Wooden Pediment / Carved Cornice With Two Lions – Circa 19th Century

A lovely piece, this shows two lions on either side of an oval escrutcheon with stripes and leaves. The lower part is adorned with acanthus leaves. As with all genuinely old items, there are age-related notched here and there and a little of the varnish is missing, but these add to its charm H:18 x W:61cm
