Antique French ‘Caged’ Ruby Glass Scent Bottle

An excellent ruby glass disk shaped scent/perfume bottle with an embossed yellow metal hinged top, suspensory chain with finger ring, and glass peg stopper. The bottle is ‘caged’ in an ornate yellow metal scrollwork case, embellished with a pair of love birds to both sides. There is sight age and usage wear and some hinge play but good firm closure and nothing further found; Circa 1880. Assessment and valuation by a member of LAPADA. H:6.2 x W:1 x D:4.5cm
