Antique De Grave Travelling Diamond Scales

A ‘must’ for us all! A fine set of mahogany cased brass scales by De Grave & Son – the beam with swan neck ends and hemispherical pan. The interior lid has the original label inscribed A table by which may be calculated the value of any weight of diamond by De Grave & Son’. The locker houses seven square tapering carat weights and the original tweezers fit into the side of the box, De Grave Short and Company (later M Grave and Son 59 St Martin Le Grand London) In very good condition H:2.5 x W13 x D6.5cm
