Antique Botanical Print Of West Indian Orchids – Circa 1898

An original late 19th century lithograph paper print. Origin: Bibliographic Institute Leipzig und Wien, 1898. Unframed, the print offers enough space to frame with a passe partout. As this is an antique print, it is advised not to place the print in direct sunlight, in order to prevent discolouration – the majority of such prints, originally found within books of encyclopaedia and therefore stored in bookcases, were not often exposed to sunlight. Use of UV protective glass in the framing process retains the original colours of the print H:25 x W:15.5cm
